Tour Highlights

While gorilla and chimp tracking is the highlight of this safari, it also allows for quality game viewing in Uganda best wildlife sanctuaries with a touch of cultural tours and the remote areas of Uganda. The safari is restricted and suitable for children aged 15 years and above and allowed group size of 2- 8 guests.

Day 1 Arrival Kampala

On arrival at the airport, you will be met and welcomed by your representative who will then transfer you to your Kampala hotel.

Days 2 & 3 Murchison Falls

After breakfast, you will be driven towards North to Murchison Falls National Park with a stopover at Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary in Nakasongola. This sanctuary was established to breed black and white rhino, and restore rhino populations in. After a long drive you will reach the River Nile in the heart of the Park, where you will bound a ferry across to Paraa Safari Lodge set overlooking the Mighty River Nile.

You will get a chance to view Murchison Falls as it plunges through a narrow opening, a sight that is awe inspiring unforgettable. While here you will be engage in boat rides, game drives and wildlife viewing, bird-watching, as well as reptiles watching.

Days 4 & 5 Kibale National Park

An early morning game drive at Murchison Falls is in order for close up view of the gorge where the Nile squeezes in to a 7 meter gorge dropping 40 meters. The falls are spectacular and thunderous with a beautiful rainbow displayed on sunny days. After which you head out for Kibale Forest National Park. Kibale Forest is a large protected block of rainforest, which has the highest number of primates in Africa such as chimpanzees, Grey Cheeked Mangabey, Red Tailed monkey and Red Colobus.

While here you will do chimpanzee tracking, birdwatching, photography sessions, guided nature walks to Bigodi swamp, home to approximately 137 bird species and it’s also rich in vegetation, such as wild palms, polita figs and the dominant papyrus.
Accommodation is either at Ndali lodge, a stunning location overlooking a dramatic Crater Lake and the fabled "Mountains of the Moon" or Mantana Tented Camp

Days 6 & 7 Semliki Valley Wildlife Reserve

After breakfast you will be driven to the Semliki Valley Wildlife Reserve. It’s known by locals as the “Garden of Eden” and has a magnificent view of the River Semliki meandering to Lake Albert. You will have a couple of stopovers for cultural interactions, and visit to a hot water springs on the way to the camp. Later on after a good rest, you will head for evening game drives where you may encounter Uganda kob, Waterbuck, Reed Buck, several monkey species as well as lots of bird opportunities.

The next day you will head out for chimpanzee tracking at the Gallery Forest of the Mugiri River and cultural visit to local communities on the foothills of the Ruwenzori Mountains, boat rides with excellent chances of spotting the rare shoebill.

Days 8 & 9 Queen Elizabeth National Park

One more game drive will be in order, after which you will be driven to Queen Elizabeth National, arriving in good time for launch Relax around the pool after lunch and later go for an early evening game drive.

Queen Elizabeth boasts one of the highest bio diversity ratings of any game park or reserve in the world, - from the open Savannah to Rain Forest, dense Papyrus Swamps and brooding Crater lakes to the vastness of Lake Edward. Wildlife include lions, hippos, buffaloes, leopard, Spotted Hyena, elephants and the elusive Giant Forest Hog plus remarkable 606 bird species that include the Black Chested Eagle, the Swallow Tailed Bee Eaters, to mention but a few. The Primates include Chimps, Black and White Colobus Monkeys, Blue, Black Faced Red Colobus, and Red Tailed monkeys and Olive Baboons.

Reptiles are the amazing huge Rock-Python, Puff adders, Spitting Cobras, Gabon Rippers, Green Mambas, and Turtles etc. This is a birding paradise with over 600 species of birds including the Shoebill Stork, Black Bee-Eater, Chappirs Fly Catcher, Bustards, and craters full of Lesser Flamingos among others. You stay at Mweya Lodge or Jacana Safari Lodge

Days 10 & 11 Bwindi Impenetrable National Park

After breakfast, head out for one more game drive before departing Queen Elizabeth for Bwindi Impenetrable National Park. It’s well known for its Mountain Gorillas, the Montane Forest also attracts spectacular varieties of bird species. You arrive in the park in good time for launch and later on you have options to either relax in the afternoon or take a nature walk.
The next day you head out for gorilla tracking, picnic launch, cultural visits, and nature walks
You stay at either Gorilla Forest Camp or Mantana Tented Camp

Day 12 Lake Mburo National Park

After breakfast, you head out to Lake Mburo National Park passing through the Switzerland of Uganda (Kabale) with beautiful scenery and terraced farming arriving at Lake Mburo National Park in the afternoon.

After lunch, you have a choice of either boat riding or just relaxing in your room. The park has an abundance of wildlife such as herds of zebra, impala, eland and other savannah species as well as For birders, this is one of the best place to find African Fin foot, Papyrus, Bush Shrike, and many more. In the evening go for a game drive. ~
You stay at either Either Mantana Tented Camp or Muhingo Lodge

Day 13 Jinja

After breakfast, proceed to Kampala having a stop to look at the Royal Drum makers, the Equator - where you will be able to stand and be on both hemispheres at once arriving in Jinja in the evening.
You stay at Jinja Nile Resort

Day 14 Departure

After breakfast, you will go to visit the source of the Nile and the spectacular Bujjagali falls. You will watch guys rafting and conquer challenging rapids, watch the local fishermen and the fantastic birdlife. After which you will be transferred to the airport to later catch your flight back home depending on the International flight departure times.
